Biography

Doctor of Philosophy Ichthyology and Fisheries Science: Rhodes University, 2010- 2013 • Ecological consequences of non-native fish invasions in Eastern Cape headwater streams. • This research resulted in 10 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals (see publication list for details)

Post-doctoral fellowship (National Research Foundation of South Africa Innovations scholarship) at the South African Institute for Aquatic Biodiversity. The post-doc focused on monitoring, evaluating, and quantifying the invasive impacts of non-native fishes on native biota in various aquatic habitats throughout South Africa. During this period, 10 papers were published in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and an additional five are in the preparations stages (see publication list for details).

Researcher with WWF Zambia: A situational analysis of the Kafue Flats fishery, Kafue River, Zambia, for Aquatic Ecosystem Services, in collaboration with the WWF-Zambia and the Department of Fisheries.
