Bachelor of Science (Zoology and Environmental Law) at WitsBachelor of Science (Honours) at UCTMasters Degree at the Center for Environment and Development (University of Kwazulu-Natal).

Biography

Rael Loon is currently a consultant in ecotourism, community development and protected area planning.

Rael is also a freelance journalist and author. He has authored or co-authored four books: "Hidden Wonders: The Small 5005 of Southern Africa", "Healing Trees and Plants of The Lowveld", "The Sabi Sabi Story", and "Birds: The Inside Story".

He is a Trustee at the Sabi Sabi Foundation and manages a conservation education initiative called Returns to Nature (see www.returns-to-nature.net)
