Biography

Sheila comes from Kenya and the UK and joined GZT in 2015 as the Research Manager. She has a degree in Conservation Biology and a Masters in Taxonomy and Biodiversity. She transitioned to the role of Director of Impact and Operations in 2021, joining the executive leadership team. She oversees the integrated pillars of Monitoring and Evaluation, Research and Impact, and Operations and HR, which support GZTs core programs. Sheila monitors and evaluates GZTs progress against its strategic plan by coordinating, maintaining, reviewing and sharing systems to assess the impact and adapt where necessary. In 2021, Sheila was recognized as one of the Top 100 Young African Leaders and was featured in CNN’s African Voices: Changemakers series.
